I found this piece of chestnut at the back of an old barn sale. When I pulled it out and examined it this image was already almost in the wood grain. I have embellished it a bit and carved out what I saw so others could see it too. I would not choose chestnut for carving as it is a very hard wood and I have broken most of my tools finnishing this piece. The final outcome, well worth it.
